ReplyDeleteThis kind of reminds me of the Craigslist Idiots posts I saw years ago. I forgot who did them, but it was kind of the same thing with overpriced cards on Craigslist, and the guy would actually contact them, tell them the real value of whatever junk wax they were selling, and the sellers would usually get quite irritated.
I don't understand why they do this. They're so obviously overpriced, it just seems like a waste of time to list them.

ReplyDeleteThe people they will rinse with this sort of thing are well-meaning relatives of collectors who will buy one of these cards and say "I knew it was a good one because it was so expensive..." as the collector looks at a dimebox card they already have several times over. There is a UK seller who has put a ton of junk wax cards on at £7.99 each and I am dreading some well-meaning friend or relative buying one for me.
